The treatment

The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis. After disinfecting the treatment area, the active ingredient is injected precisely with a fine needle. Anesthesia is not usually necessary; if desired, we can apply an anesthetic ointment beforehand. The treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the extent of the treatment.

Aftercare

Regular cooling after the injection can be helpful to reduce swelling. Avoid physical exertion for a week and do not go to the sauna or sunbathe during this time. The final result is usually visible after approx. 6-8 weeks.

How the fat-away injection works

The active ingredient phosphatidylcholine, which is extracted from soybeans, is used. After being injected into the subcutaneous fatty tissue, this substance specifically dissolves fat cells, which are then broken down by the body via the lymphatic system.

However, one treatment is usually not enough. Depending on the region and severity of the findings, 2-4 sessions at intervals of several weeks are usually necessary to achieve an optimal result.
