Preparation

A detailed consultation takes place before the treatment. During this appointment, we discuss your wishes and expectations. We will then analyze your individual facial expressions and determine whether Botox® treatment is the best choice for you.

The treatment

The injection is carried out using a fine needle so that the treatment is virtually painless for you. If desired, we can apply an anesthetic cream beforehand. The session usually lasts 15-30 minutes, depending on the treatment area and objective, and is carried out on an outpatient basis.

Aftercare

Most patients are fit for social life again immediately after the treatment. Occasionally, slight redness or small bruises may occur at the injection sites. These symptoms subside quickly. You should avoid sunbathing, sauna, solarium and sport for 24 hours.

You can expect the first results after 2-3 days. The final result usually appears after around 10 days and lasts for around 3-6 months, depending on the treatment area, dosage and individual metabolism. The treatment can then be repeated.

Many patients opt for Botox® treatment to alleviate premature signs of ageing. Botulinum toxin injections can be used to smooth expression lines in particular.

As the name suggests, these are caused by our facial expressions, i.e. continuous movements of our facial muscles, e.g. when we laugh or frown. Over time, these wrinkles can become deeper and become permanent even when we are relaxed. Botox® targets the exact cause: The affected muscles are specifically relaxed. Natural facial expressions are not lost as a result.
