Procedure of the chemical peeling

Preparation

The first step is a detailed consultation to determine whether chemical peeling is the right choice for you – because not every skin type responds equally well to this treatment. If necessary, we recommend preparatory skin care with special creams to optimally prepare your skin for the peel. Avoid direct sunlight for about a week before the peeling.

The treatment

The solution selected to suit your needs is applied to the cleansed skin. Anesthesia is not necessary for a light peel. The application time varies depending on the substance and treatment goal. The solution is then neutralized and the skin is provided with soothing care.

Aftercare

Your skin is particularly sensitive after exfoliation. It may become red and flaky – these are normal reactions to the treatment. A feeling of tightness may also occur.

It is important to apply a daily sunscreen with sun protection factor 50 in the coming weeks. You should avoid direct sunlight for the time being. You should also avoid sport and other strenuous activities for the first few days. Make-up can be reapplied after 1-3 days, depending on the depth of peeling.
